What is cheaper to build a house from: expert advice on the selection of optimal materials (60 photos)

Many are increasingly thinking about building a private house. And the first question that arises is, of course, which house is cheaper to build. Let's consider several options.

In order for there to be no problems, a plan is needed. In our particular case, this is a house plan. You can find a catalog of ready-made houses on the Internet and choose the right one for yourself. You can make a plan and a view of the house yourself, but do not forget that all technical documentation must be properly executed for successful registration of the house.

If the budget is limited, then it is necessary to look for options for inexpensive houses with ready-made technical plans. There are many sites on the web offering such services both on a paid and free basis.

Most often, documentation is provided free of charge if you order a house from a specific company. But again, it will be more expensive than building a house with your own hands. Or maybe it's cheaper if you don't have construction skills.

Design

If your land plot is located in a club settlement, then most likely there are some rules that must comply with the design of modern houses.

If there are no restrictions, then the design is limited only by your fantasies and wallet. The main thing is that the design is justified and does not violate the law.

It can be ordered from different designers, which have recently been produced by a large number of educational institutions. Therefore, if you decide to use outside help, first look at their work. Do not entrust this matter to beginners.

Types of houses

All houses can be divided into several types. On an economic basis — economy class houses and elite houses. According to the building materials from which the house is built.

Elite houses are not always built of elite materials, most likely, expensive materials from well-known brands are used for their interior decoration. In an economical form — inexpensive materials from unknown brands, but not necessarily of the worst quality.

Building materials can also be different. These are bricks, foam blocks, logs, beams and much more.

The walls of the house

The house can be built of logs, the so-called log house. But if you want something made of wood, but cheaper and more quickly erected, then frame houses will come to the rescue. They are assembled quickly, but additional insulation is required during their construction.

Brick houses have a longer service life than wooden ones. More and more often a person builds a house out of foam blocks, and then revets it with a special brick.

The facing of foam blocks can be different, up to the usual plaster and painting. It all depends on finances. Houses made of blocks are built faster and more economically than ordinary bricks. One block replaces about 12 bricks.

Foundation

When you have decided what you will build a house from, the next step is to build a foundation. It can be of several types: ribbon, pile. In depth, the foundation can be low-buried and deepened.

When building the foundation, you need to decide whether you will have a basement. The depth of the foundation also depends on the soil on the site.  With heterogeneity and excessive moisture, a low-buried foundation will not work and costs will increase accordingly.

It is not necessary to save money on waterproofing, because it will be quite expensive to fix it later.

We dig a trench under the foundation, having previously marked the perimeter. It is better to fill the foundation along the length of all the walls in the house.

The mass of the house also affects the foundation, the heavier the materials from which the house is built, the better the foundation will have to be made. The quality of the foundation also depends on the number of floors of the building.

Increasingly, they began to make the foundation of piles. The foundation is obtained by pile-filling. The size of the piles and their number depend on the mass and height of the house. Log cabins are most often put on piles.

With such a foundation, you will not be able to build a basement for yourself, but only a small cellar at a certain height.

Windows

Window systems need to be thought out depending on the location of your home in relation to the cardinal directions. It is desirable that it be in every room. An exception may be the technical room, where the main control systems of the house will be located (for example, a boiler and an electric shield).

There is a formula for calculating the number of windows. One window is needed for 8 sq.m of the room. Try to put windows so that they offer a beautiful view and a view of the site.

Comfortable environment

A comfortable environment refers to the temperature of the air in the room. Most often it is required to install a heating system in a new house. To date, several options are known. This is electric and gas heating. There is also heating from natural sources, such as geysers, but we are not interested in it much.

Electric heating is mainly installed where there is no gas. The cost of electricity is large compared to gas, even with the newest developments in this area. In the house, you can limit yourself to only warm floors throughout the entire area of the room, but radiators are also installed more often near windows.

Underfloor heating and radiators are electric and water, depending on the heater. Since warm air is lighter than cold, the room will be evenly heated from such floors.

Some experts advise to abandon radiators near windows altogether, but it's up to you here. If you like warmth, then they definitely won't be superfluous.

Gas heating is the most common and cheapest. The main costs will be at the initial stage when buying a gas boiler. The system is built in such a way that the gas boiler heats the water that circulates through the heating system of the house. You can adjust the heating temperature manually, making it the most comfortable.

Sewage system

If a house is being built on a territory where there is no common sewerage system, then a septic tank will come to the rescue. Now they have different prices and different formats. It is necessary to think about this at the beginning of the house layout. The volume of the septic tank depends on the number of people living in the house and the waste of water.

Water

Water supply at home is another of the central themes. Here you can either connect to the central water supply system, or drill a well. But if you do not plan to use the house for permanent and year-round living, then you can stop at a simple well next to the house.

Drilling a well is quite expensive, but with a large drilling depth and proper paperwork, you will enjoy clean artesian water.

Now such a system as a "smart home" is included in the everyday life of people. This includes a video surveillance system, a control system. If everything is clear with the video surveillance system, then we will focus on the control system in a little more detail.

This system includes a huge number of sensors, motion sensors, temperature sensors, smoke, gas, oxygen levels and air chemistry.

Gas sensors should be installed in technical rooms and in the kitchen, since if there is a gas leak somewhere, it will inform you about it, and in your absence it will block the entire system and give you a danger signal.

Motion sensors together with surveillance cameras are very useful when the house is empty. At the moment, there are systems that can display a picture from home on the screen of your mobile device. All this increases the safety of you and your loved ones.

A properly planned, built and equipped house will make your life more comfortable, safer and more economical.
